Position: Site Risk Manager

Level: E4/5 (dependent on background and experience)

Reporting to: Associate Director, Vacaville BOS

Summary:

The Site Risk Manager is responsible for managing site execution of the Manage Risk business process on behalf of the Vacaville Site. This individual is responsible for the development, installation and realization of the Site Integrated Risk Management (IRM) process. The Site Risk Manager will serve as the primary point of contact with the PT/PTB IRM program office, acting as the Site?s Business Process Manager (BPm) for Manage Risk. This individual will ensure that local processes are properly aligned with network and global processes. The incumbent will supervise staff Analyst(s) as required. This individual will seek to continually improve the Site processes through benchmarking and best practice sharing

Responsibilities:

? Develop and install the Site IRM program.

? Assume the Lead role for the 2012 IRM Goal and provide routine monthly updates regarding progress.

Develop an Integrated Risk Management (IRM) Program encompassing all site business by 3Q12 resulting in a single site risk portfolio.

? Assume leadership of the IRM Core Team.

? Validate and maintain membership as required.

? Maintain team charter and revise as required.

? Facilitate routine meetings properly documenting timelines, decisions and escalations.

? Define and document the core Business Processes to govern Site implementation of IRM.

? Define Site Governance connections and touch-points.

? Develop foundation for Site capability building program in collaboration with Site and Network Training and Development teams.

? Manage and maintain the ongoing plan to complete installation and define realization of Site IRM.

? Facilitate the execution and realization of the Site IRM Processes in collaboration with the VLT, the Extended Vacaville Leadership Team (EVLT), PT/PTB Network partners and local risk stream managers and stakeholders.

? Identify and integrate local risk streams and processes.

? Identify potential gaps in local programs and develop plans to close them.

? Aggregate all Site Risks into a single Risk Portfolio.

? Apply Site and Network processes to filter and prioritize the Risk Portfolio.

? Develop Site Risk Report and process to inform Site and Network decision making processes.

? Develop and maintain the Site Risk Management Plan.

? Identify significant Site Risks requiring assessment.

? Sequence and schedule required Risk Assessments in a sustainable manner.

? Manage execution and document progress against the plan.

? Facilitate an annual ?refresh? process.

? Develop and manage local processes that will measure the improvement of the Site Risk Profile over time.

? Act as the Site?s primary point of contact with the PT/PTB IRM program office, as the Site?s Business Process Manager (BPm) for Manage Risk.

? Attend Network meetings and forums.

? Escalate Site issues to Network partners and decision makers.

? Take Site decisions regarding Network programs and processes.

? Ensure that all Site deliverables are completed as required.

? Provide the Site Risk Report to Network Stakeholders.

? Provide the Site Risk Management Plan to Network Stakeholders.

? Routinely communicate Network activities to the VLT, EVLT and local risk stream managers and stakeholders.

? Seek continuous improvement opportunities by identifying and sharing best practices across the organization and network.

? Provide direct supervision for staff Analyst(s) as required.

Who You Are

Education

? BA/BS required

? MBA/MS or other advanced degree desirable

Experience

? Minimum 8 years (E4) or 12 years (E5) experience in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical or other high tech industry required

? Direct experience in the application of Risk Assessment tools and methodologies (e.g. PHA, FMEA, FTA, HACCP, etc.) as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) required

? Direct experience applying Risk Assessment tools and methodologies (e.g. PHA, FMEA, FTA, HACCP, etc.) as a Facilitator preferred

? Broad knowledge of Risk Management as a discipline desirable

? Demonstrated project management skills required

? Previous supervisory experience desirable
